Do my deviations appear really bright on your computer screen?

I'm trying to figure out why any computer I have ever owned is so dark compared to computers I've used at school, borrowed from friends, and so on.

It's kind of frustrating, I'll have to admit.

So, if they're bright on your screen, and hence look a little "sketchy" (literally), please let me know so I can darken them.
